Each month from May to October 2012 we are inviting our members to post at least one blog on our NDBA web site and/or on their own web site (with a link from the NDBA web site to your blog). Each post/blog will automatically be entered into the competition.
At the end of each month a winner for that month will be announced, and at the Awards Event we will announce the best of the best – the best of those six winners – the winning posts will re-posted during November for fresh comments and exposure.
Sarah Arrow, a professional UK blogger and creator of Birds on the Blog, will be the independent judge for our blogging competition. Check out their ABOUT PAGE for an inspirational look at how Sarah and her team of Birds got their blog up and running. Birds on the Blog has been listed by Forbes twice as a top web site for women and is the only UK entry. Sarah has family in North Devon and is keen to help make this competition the best of its kind.
Sarah Arrow has very kindly offered to give away one of her e-books on blogging to everyone who enters our competition – that’s a prize for just entering and she has also offered an additional e-book and ‘coaching’ calls to each month’s winner.
Who can enter?
The competition is open to all North Devon bloggers and entry for NDBA members is free. Membership is only £15 per annum or £1.50 per month. Non-members can enter by paying a nominal entry of £1 per blog.
We are not looking for a blog site, we are looking for a single blog post and the subject matter of the blog can be anything that you want (normal business codes and practices apply – if your blog is considered offensive it will be removed and not included in the competition).
North Devon is a large place and depending on your business you can be in West Somerset or North Cornwall, or you might even do business here and be based elsewhere. Either way, your entry will be welcome, if you are from farther afield and would like to take part, you are also welcome, and if you do win, we will ask you to attend the Award Event to collect your prize – oh, yes there will be prizes – or if you cannot make it your prize will be awarded to the next best entry.
Terms and conditions
The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All NDBA members should have a user name and password. If you haven’t or have forgetten, please get in touch. Guest or non-member posts will be posted by the web site administrator, please contact us to enter.
