Are you the North Devon Online Business of the Year 2012?

It seems to be the season for awards at the moment in North Devon. As well as the NDBA’s own awards, the North Devon Journal Business Awards are also running. The NDBA is very pleased to sponsor the NDJ’s Online Business of the Year category for the second year running.

The NDBA is sponsoring the category because we realise just how important the internet is to businesses in North Devon and we want to recognise those businesses who are using it effectively.

So if your North Devon business runs an online shop or uses the internet as the basis for its business, please do enter the Online Business of the Year category of the North Devon Journal Business Awards. The deadline has now been extended to Friday 28 September 2012.

And why not look at the other 12 categories of the NDJ Business Awards?

We look forward to seeing you on the awards night.

PS Don’t forget the NDBA Awards as well. Could you win in both?

@staceybmyoffice and @robertz introduce the NDBA #ndevon awards

Kevin, Stacey and I were due to have a meeting last week about the NDBA awards, but Kevin had to cancel. Stacey and I had our meeting and this is what we discussed.

You can enter the five award categories now – Blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Online Media and Online Networking – see details on each category page or visit the main NDBA awards page.

Good luck!

Remember, tickets for the NDBA Awards Presentation and Christmas Celebration are just £20 when you book before 30 September. Price rises to £25 from 1 October.

A nice surprise.

This morning I received a Tweet in my feed from @infraredheating asking me if I’d checked a certain blog post. I checked the link to the post and to my complete amazement and surprise I discovered that I had won the NDBA May blogging competition.

This was a lovely start to my day, and I’m sure that if you ask my colleagues I have been ‘buzzing’ all morning. I’ve never won anything like this before and if you read my post you will understand that I am not a confident blogger.

Thank you judge Sarah Arrow for your comments and thank you NDBA for the opportunity to get blogging.
